📖 Revelation 7:1 (NIV)
“7 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree.”
Before the remaining judgments unfold, God pauses to reveal His mercy and protection. He seals His servants, fulfills His covenant with Israel, and reveals a countless multitude redeemed through Jesus Christ. This chapter reminds believers that God’s Redemption Plan includes people from every nation and ends with His promise to wipe away every tear.

“2 Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. “Salvation belongs to our God,
who sits on the throne,
and to the Lamb.”
John then sees a countless multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language standing before God’s throne.

“13 Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?”
“14 I answered, “Sir, you know.”
And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore,
“they are before the throne of God
and serve him day and night in his temple;
and he who sits on the throne
will shelter them with his presence.

‘Never again will they hunger;
never again will they thirst.
The sun will not beat down on them,’[a]
nor any scorching heat.

will be their shepherd;

The elder explains that those dressed in white robes have come through great tribulation.
Their robes have been made white through the blood of the Lamb.
Now they serve God continually in His presence.
They will never hunger or thirst again.
The Lamb will shepherd them to living waters.
And God Himself will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
This is the beautiful hope awaiting all who belong to Jesus Christ.
Revelation 7 reveals God’s mercy in the middle of coming judgment.
