📖 “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” – Galatians 6:9
Life often tests our endurance, Don’t Grow Weary in Doing Good. Whether it’s showing kindness when no one notices, serving others when it feels unappreciated, or staying faithful when obstacles keep rising, the temptation to give up is real. Paul’s words in Galatians 6:9 remind us that God calls His people to persevere in goodness, because every effort made in faith has eternal value.
When Paul speaks of doing good, he isn’t just talking about charitable acts. It includes:
Living with integrity.
Loving your neighbor as yourself.
Serving your family, community, and church.
Practicing generosity and kindness.
These acts may seem small in the moment, but in God’s eyes, they are seeds planted for a future harvest.
It’s natural to grow tired. Constantly giving of yourself—whether emotionally, spiritually, or physically—can feel draining, especially when there’s little recognition. But weariness is exactly where the enemy tries to plant discouragement, whispering that your efforts don’t matter.
Paul tells us the opposite: every good act matters, even when unseen. God notices what others overlook, and He promises that a harvest will come.
The phrase due season reminds us that results don’t always appear right away. Just as crops take time to grow, so do the fruits of righteousness. God’s timing may not align with ours, but it is always perfect.
Some blessings we will see in this life.
Others may not be revealed until eternity.
Either way, God guarantees a harvest for faithful endurance.
Stay Rooted in Prayer – Strength flows when you remain connected to God.
Focus on Eternity – Remember that your reward isn’t just earthly; it’s eternal.
Draw Strength from Community – Surround yourself with fellow believers who encourage you to keep pressing on.
Rest Wisely – Even Jesus took time to rest; recharging allows you to continue serving effectively.
Galatians 6:9 is both a challenge and a comfort. The challenge: don’t give up, even when it feels easier to stop. The comfort: your perseverance is never wasted—God sees every act of faithfulness and promises a harvest in His perfect time.
So keep going. Keep loving. Keep serving. The reward may not come immediately, but it will come.
