As God revealed the coming judgment, He did not leave Noah without direction. Prepared for Salvation, Genesis 6:13 -17 shows that God’s plan for salvation was specific, intentional, and required obedience. The ark was not Noah’s idea—it was God’s provision, designed to preserve life in the midst of certain destruction.
📖 “13 So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth. 14 So make yourself an ark of cypress[c] wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out. 15 This is how you are to build it: The ark is to be three hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide and thirty cubits high.[d]16 Make a roof for it, leaving below the roof an opening one cubit[e] high all around.[f] Put a door in the side of the ark and make lower, middle and upper decks (Genesis 6:13-17, NIV)
God’s instructions to Noah were detailed and purposeful. Every measurement, material, and step mattered. The ark represented more than a physical structure—it was a covering, a place of refuge, and a symbol of God’s grace.
In a world already spiritually dead and racing toward judgment, God provided one way of escape. Noah was called not only to believe God’s word, but to act on it—long before the rain ever came.
God provides a way of salvation before judgment arrives. The ark was prepared in advance, just as redemption in Christ was planned before the foundation of the world.
Obedience is an act of faith. Noah built according to God’s word, not human logic or public opinion.
Salvation requires entering God’s provision. Knowing about the ark was not enough—Noah had to build it and eventually step inside.
Trust God’s instructions, even when they seem unfamiliar or countercultural.
Examine whether your faith is active—are you building your life on God’s word or merely hearing it?
Remember that God’s provision often requires preparation, patience, and perseverance.
Share the message of salvation while there is still time, just as Noah did through his obedience.
Genesis 6:13 -17 reminds us that God does not abandon humanity—even in judgment. He offers a way to be saved, a covering from destruction, and a call to trust Him fully.

✨ Just as the ark was God’s appointed refuge, Christ is our eternal refuge—prepared, sufficient, and available to all who believe and obey.
