Every strong structure requires more than good intentions — it requires a plan built on the right foundation. Planning to Build You-On the Rock is the stage where faith begins to take shape through deliberate, thoughtful action.
This is not about rushing forward.
It is about building wisely, in the right order, with God at the center.
📖 Proverbs 16:3 (NIV)
“Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”
Before any plan is written or action is taken, the first step is alignment.
Putting God first is not a sign of weakness.
It is a sign of humility, obedience, and trust.
This step does not promise a life free from trials, but it does promise a foundation strong enough to withstand them. When God comes first, your plans are no longer built on emotion, pressure, or fear — they are built on purpose.
When God comes first:
Decisions gain clarity
Pressure loses control
Direction replaces confusion
Once God is placed first, the next step is reflection — not to stop progress, but to strengthen it.
You are often your own hardest critic. This step is meant to bring awareness, not discouragement.
Ask yourself honestly:
Am I a good listener?
People want to be heard. Listening builds trust.
Do I enjoy encouraging and motivating others?
Leadership grows when others succeed.
Do I celebrate when others reach their goals?
Recognition reflects confidence, not competition.
These questions don’t fit, change the question to suit your needs: If you are not detail-oriented and that is not one of your strengths, write it down. Do not ignore it. Focus on what you need in order to be successful. Very few people are good at everything — and that is not a flaw, it is reality.
Know your strengths.
Know your weaknesses.
When something is not your strength, the solution is not avoidance — it is support. Get the right help, tools, or people around you to fill the gaps. Strong foundations are not built by doing everything alone; they are built by recognizing what is needed and planning wisely.
Building on the Rock means being honest, prepared, and humble enough to seek help when necessary.
If weaknesses appear, do not avoid them. Acknowledge them. With God’s guidance, weaknesses can become strengths — but only if they are faced honestly.
With God first and self-awareness established, planning becomes purposeful:
Pursue free education and training in your chosen field
Make yourself visible to leaders and mentors
Research state and federal grants, both current and future
Ask for guidance from trusted advisors
Begin thinking about business naming and structure, even if you are still employed
Most importantly — get started.
Life is a blank canvas. The foundation you choose determines the strength of the picture you create.
God is here to help you and your family reach your goals — not by chance, but by design.
Plan wisely.
Build on the Rock.
