Eternity: Living By The Unseen In Daily Life!

Eternity: If you truly believe that life on earth is just a blink of an eye compared to Heaven, and God’s promise to you is eternal life, will you ask for it? Or will your goal in life be to become god-like through implants and technological advancements, striving for immortality and becoming test subjects for the wealthy and ruling class who are trying to outrun death? This path can only lead to disaster. Meanwhile, God’s gift of eternal life is available to us, all we need to do is ask. We should find our purpose and encourage our family members, friends, and community to do the same—living by faith and trusting in the unseen.

Colossians 1:15-16

“The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him.”

  • Meaning: This passage explains that while Jesus Christ is visible, He represents the invisible God. It also highlights that both the visible and invisible realms were created by God. There are unseen spiritual realities, such as angels and spiritual authorities, which exist alongside the physical world.

2 Corinthians 4:18

“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

  • Meaning: Paul emphasizes that Christians should focus on eternal realities rather than temporary, material things. The things we see in the physical world are fleeting, but the unseen spiritual truths—such as God, heaven, and salvation—are everlasting. This encourages believers to develop an eternal perspective and not get overly attached to worldly matters.

Hebrews 11:1

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”

  • Meaning: Faith involves trusting in the unseen. While we cannot physically see God or the future promises of His kingdom, faith enables us to believe in and hope for these unseen realities. The chapter continues to highlight biblical figures who lived by faith, trusting in things beyond the visible world.

Romans 8:24-25

“For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.”

  • Meaning: Paul contrasts hope in the unseen versus hope in what is already visible. If we already had what we hoped for, it wouldn’t be true hope. Our Christian hope is for eternal life, resurrection, and full redemption—things that we do not yet see but confidently await.

John 11:25-26

“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?'”

  • Meaning: Jesus speaks these words to Martha after the death of Lazarus, offering hope that even physical death cannot overcome those who believe in Him. Eternal life is tied to the resurrection, where believers will live with God even after physical death.

When you have a vision of a business process or a strong desire for something important, you’re considered a visionary. You have the opportunity for eternal life, wisdom, and purpose to achieve God’s will for you. What is that worth? Knowing that we are here for a very short time, pray, commit yourself to God, and ask for His guidance and direction. You will see that you will not be led astray.

Ecclesiastes 3:11

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”
Meaning: This verse speaks of God’s eternal nature and how He has placed a sense of eternity in our hearts, though we cannot fully understand His plans.

Daniel 7:13-14

“In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven… His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.”
Meaning: Daniel’s vision of the “Son of Man” speaks of a heavenly figure who will receive an eternal kingdom, pointing to the Messiah and the establishment of heaven’s reign.

John 2:25
“And this is what He promised us—eternal life.”

Meaning: God’s promise of eternal life is reiterated, showing that it is not a temporary or fleeting offer but a secure and lasting gift for believers.
