As Jesus moved closer to the Cross, the injustice He endured became even more visible. Jesus is taken from Pilate to Herod not for justice, but for political convenience. Pilate saw a way to avoid making a decision, so he passed Jesus along. Herod, curious but not sincere, treated Jesus like a spectacle. He questioned Him, mocked Him, dressed Him in an elegant robe, and sent Him back to Pilate.
Jesus’ silence in this moment speaks volumes. He does not defend Himself, argue back, or attempt to sway Herod’s opinion. Instead, He stands firm in His purpose, perfectly submitting to the Father’s plan.
This moment reveals the corruption of human authority and the steadfastness of Christ.

It exposes human pride. Herod wanted entertainment, not truth—just as many today want curiosity without commitment.
It highlights the world’s rejection. Jesus was misunderstood, mistreated, and dismissed, yet He remained faithful.
It deepens the path to the Cross. Every act of injustice was part of the sacrifice He willingly embraced for our salvation.
Stand firm in your faith. You don’t need to answer every critic; sometimes silence is strength.
Recognize empty curiosity. Faith requires sincerity, not spectacle.
Trust God when others misjudge you. Jesus faced unfair treatment—He understands your wounds.
Remember that God’s plan prevails. Even when people mishandle truth, God’s purpose moves forward.
Luke 23:6–12 reminds us that Jesus endured humiliation, mockery, and injustice long before the nails pierced His hands. He stood silent before earthly power because He was surrendered to heavenly purpose. His dignity, courage, and obedience in the face of mistreatment reflect a love that would not turn back.
